History Of Our Studio

Flex Studio of Acrobatics and Dance was launched by Alice Malone in 2014. Having danced from the age of 3, it had always been Alice’s ambition to open her own dance school and through a lot of hard work and dedication, Flex Studio was born!

Flex Studio currently has over 40 students of all ages receiving lessons in a variety of dance classes which build towards regular shows and events. Students rehearse routines for our own Showcase Events as well as competing for medals in festivals and competitions around the country.

Flex Studio has performed at various public events in recent years, including the re-opening of the Sue Ryder charity shop in Allestree, Derby and TK Maxx’s Comic Relief fundraiser. One student recently followed in Alice’s footsteps by taking part in auditions for Britain’s Got Talent!

Flex Philosophy

Flex Studio of Acrobatics and Dance is about enjoying dance in a relaxed, non-judgemental, supportive atmosphere where pupils can achieve a level of success they can be proud of! The aim is for students to enjoy the experience of dance as well as building their self-confidence to present themselves as performers and as young people.

We are proud to be an inclusive dance studio and welcome dancers of all backgrounds, ages and abilities. As our students mature and develop, opportunities may become available to progress to ‘Flex Studio Assistants’ where responsibilities include taking lead roles in lessons, working closely with younger students and assisting with the general running of the studio.

Dance Classes

At Flex Studio, we love to dance! The variety of classes on offer is extremely diverse and since we aim to cater for all age groups, there are plenty of different options throughout the week. Our pricing is also very competitive, with tuition starting from just £2 per session.
